Jesus
told us that the Kingdom is not a place where we go
but is "within us" and for those who have made
Jesus their Lord and Saviour have that Kingdom
living and dwelling within them! It is time to
learn how to tap into everything we are in the
Kingdom, everything we have and everything we are
called to do! There is however too much talk and
not enough action! There has got to come a time
where we take what “we know” and “enter into” all
of what God has for us! We’ve got to stop just
reading about the Kingdom and start “doing” the
Kingdom!
Jesus didn’t come in Word but in
POWER!
Jesus said He will not leave us as orphans – that
He was sending His Spirit - that we could do what
he did and GREATER things! Think about it – there
are more of us! But the reality is how many of us
are truly operating in Kingdom power and authority
and doing what Jesus did?
How
can we walk in the fullness of the
Kingdom?
1) Knowledge - We need
to know the Word of God for ourselves! We cannot
conceive something from man but from God so we have
got to know how to go to the source for ourselves
and receive for ourselves straight from Him.
2) We need to know who He is! His true
nature and character – not what we have come up
with – through what we have or have not experienced
– but through His Word and through personal
relationship!
3)
We also need to know how to act on what we believe
– BUT
first we need to be SURE (fully persuaded on what
we actually believe) BECAUSE we can only act on
What WE DO believe! When the pressure is on
everything falls by the way side so it is what is
in us that will get us through!
4)
Know how to recognise, face and overcome fear
– how to
be BOLD in faith – perfect love casts out all fear!
When you KNOW God’s love, when you KNOW Him fear
cannot get a grip.
Example:
Shadrach,
meshac and abendigo – the 3 boys that were thrown
in the fiery furnace. They knew who their God was,
He was with them AND – when they came out of the
fire the Bible says they didn’t even smell like
smoke! When you KNOW the Lord and know HOW TO walk
with Him, it doesn’t matter what fiery trial you go
through because you will know how to lean on, trust
in and rely on Him. You will KNOW by experience –
not by hope or wishful thinking that He is there
and that He will get you through! (see
Eph 3:16-20 Amp)
If you Know who you are in Christ – your authority
and the power you have then when you come to your
red sea or to a mountain you will know what to do!
The Big Key is to KNOW that God isn’t going to do
it for you! He will go with you. He watches His
Word – the Holy Spirit is the performer of the Word
of God.
The Israelites had to TAKE the Promised Land
They HAD to do something!
God
said to them...
Exdous
23:20 - 29
God's Angel to Prepare the Way "See, I am
sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along
the way and to bring you to the place I have
prepared. 21 Pay attention to him and listen to
what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not
forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. 22
If you listen carefully to what he says and do all
that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and
will oppose those who oppose you. 23 My angel will
go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the
Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites
and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out. 24 Do not
bow down before their gods or worship them or
follow their practices. You must demolish them and
break their sacred stones to pieces. 25 Worship the
LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your
food and water. I will take away sickness from
among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren
in your land. I will give you a full life span. 27
"I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into
confusion every nation you encounter. I will make
all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I
will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the
Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your
way.... 29 But I will not drive them out in a
single year, because the land would become desolate
and the wild animals too numerous for you. 30
Little by little I will drive them out before you,
until you have increased enough to take possession
of the land. (see
also
Deut 7:1-16).
Faith-by-Faith AND Step-by-step we take the Land!
God had Promised them the Land BUT if they stood
there and waited for the giants to leave on their
own accord they would still be waiting there today
– IN FACT they would probably have ended up being
overwhelmed and defeated by the giants!
The Israelites still had to go to war! They had to
act on what they believed. And we know the first
lot were shipwrecked in their faith because all
they believed was what they saw and their natural
circumstances. When you don’t know God and who He
is then you can't take Him at His Word! It is
natural to believe what you see, feel, and know BUT
when you Know who God is, who YOU ARE and WHAT YOU
HAVE regarding the Provision of His Kingdom in His
Word then simply act on what you believe and stand
until it comes to pass.
When Joshua took the Land the Lord said to Him…
Joshua 1:6-9 (Amp)
Be strong (confident) and of good
courage,
for you shall cause this people to inherit the land
which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only
you
be strong and very
courageous,
that you may do according to all the law which
Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to
the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper
wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not
depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on
it day and night, that you may observe and do
according to all that is written in it. For then
you shall make your way prosperous, and then you
shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I
commanded you? Be
strong,
vigorous,
and
very courageous.
Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the
Lord your God is with you wherever you
go.
God goes with us BUT we must move forward! So when
we come to that red sea that looks like it cannot
be crossed or that mountain that cannot be moved –
we can’t stand still and wait for the salvation of
the Lord – BUT take the rod (word of God) and move
forward – GO so God can GO WITH US!
When Moses and the Israelites hit the Red Sea and
had the Egyptians behind them look what Moses
said...
Exodus
14:13
Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid.
Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the
LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see
today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will
fight for you; you need only to be still."
Many Christians do the same thing. They are
standing still waiting for God to do something for
them. But look at what God said to Moses...
Exodus
14:14
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you
crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.
16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over
the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites
can go through the sea on dry ground.
God said "why are you crying out to me?" Moses had
already been given instructions. All he had to do
was to take up the rod in His hand (symbolic of the
Living Word of God) and use it! Moses had put the
responsibility on God when God had already put the
responsibility on him! Heb 10:6 tells us that
without faith it is impossible to please God. It is
time that we have faith in God and believe what He
said about us and told us to do and go and do it!
Jesus Himself told us in Mark 11:20-22(NKJV) that
"whosoever shall say to this mountain be removed"
will have whatever He says! We need to stop asking
God to do what He has already given us power and
authority to do! It is up to us to take Him at His
Word, move forward and begin to declare what He has
said about every area of our lives. It is time for
us to go and take our Promised Land!
In closing Look at what happened when the
Israelites finally went in and took the Land...
Psalm
44:1-8
We have heard with our ears, O God, Our
fathers have told us, The deeds You did in
their days, In days of old: 2 You drove
out the nations with Your hand, But them You
planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast
them out. 3 For they did not gain possession
of the land by their own sword, Nor did their
own arm save them; But it was Your right hand,
Your arm, and the light of Your
countenance, Because You favored them. 4
You are my King, O God; Command victories for
Jacob. 5 Through You we will push down our
enemies; Through Your name we will trample
those who rise up against us. 6 For I will not
trust in my bow, Nor shall my sword save
me. 7 But You have saved us from our
enemies, And have put to shame those who hated
us. 8 In God we boast all day long, And
praise Your name
forever. Selah [pause, think of
that!]
We need to remember that we are now in the New
Testament and that means that our enemy has ALREADY
been disarmed and defeated! The giants have lost
their power. So why do we allow them to continue to
operate in our lives? God is not going to
dispossess them for you, He has given you armour,
the sword, His Spirit and His power and authority
to go and dispossess them yourself! So what are you
waiting for? Don't stand still any longer - go and
take that sword and go and possess your Promised
Land!!

How to Possess the Kingdom!
Many talk about God’s Kingdom, or they hear it preached but they are never able to fully experience it! When I talk about the Kingdom I am talking about everything that belongs to God including everything that Jesus died to give to us.
